As a Lawn Care Technician, you will help care for residential and commercial lawns throughout the Pioneer Valley. Your work may include weekly mowing and trimming, lawn installations and repairs, spring and fall cleanups, equipment care, and using hand tools and light machinery such as powered edgers and leaf blowers. With every property, you will have another opportunity to improve your technique, work more confidently with equipment, and develop the consistency that makes good lawn care stand out.

Learn What Goes Into a Clean, Consistent Finish
Professional lawn care is about more than getting the mower across the property. You will develop hands-on experience with mowing, trimming, edging, lawn installations and repairs, seasonal cleanups, and routine equipment care while learning the small details that create a polished result. Experienced team members will help you refine your approach as you gain confidence in the field. After 90 days of service, paid educational opportunities may also include certifications, workshops, college courses, and licensing, giving you additional ways to build your knowledge and skills.

Build Confidence With the Tools of the Trade
The more comfortable you become with professional equipment, the more capable you become in the field. Better View provides training, uniforms, safety gear, and access to the tools and equipment needed for the role, while giving you hands-on experience with mowing equipment, powered edgers, leaf blowers, and other tools used throughout the workday. You will also take part in machine care and routine maintenance, helping you understand the equipment you rely on and build practical skills you can carry forward.

- Salary: Starting at$18.00 to $30.00 /hour, based on experience, licensing/certifications, and skill set.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Mowing and trimming client lawns weekly
- Assist in machine care and routine maintenance
- Lawn installations and repairs
- Spring/Fall clean-ups
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as powered edgers and leaf blowers
- Assist with other divisions as needed
- Assist with Snow operations in the Winter
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Work effectively and efficiently, able to follow directions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness/ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with a positive attitude
- Clean and professional appearance
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to lift 60+ lbs consistently
- Available to work a varied schedule (including occasional Saturdays)
- Stand and bend for 8 hours or more a day
- A commitment to the safe operation of each work task
- Must pass DOT physical requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Provide your own steel-toe footwear
