Meet Our Owner: 25 Years Of Dedicated Service

In 1995, Tory Chlanda established a lawn mowing service with his high school buddy, Lawn Jockey, Inc. which is now renamed Better View Landscapes. With significant growth over the past two decades, Tory’s aim has remained the same: to provide superior landscaping products with integrity and outstanding customer service. Throughout college, Tory worked tirelessly to expand the company while pursuing a business degree and studying with Master Landscape Designer Gordon Fletcher-Howell. Tory’s desire to learn as much as possible about landscaping led him across the globe, where he studied horticulture and gained critical hands-on experience in landscape design and installation.

After 25 years in business, Tory decided to change the company name from Lawn Jockey to Better View Landscapes, to better express the full range of services offered by the company and that aligned with the company’s mission and goals. Although the name has changed, the company’s mission of creating better views for the homeowners and commercial properties around the Pioneer Valley continues. With more than two decades of experience serving the Northampton area, Better View Landscapes has earned a reputation for premium landscape design, installation, and maintenance second to none. It is our goal to continue to beautify the Pioneer Valley and surrounding neighborhoods with enduring landscapes that stand the test of time.
